It was quite fat.
This caterpillar looked friendlier than the hairy caterpillar. It had smoother skin which was light-green in colour. It tried to tell you that it has thorns on its body by using the eye-catching silver spots and each silver spot was circled within the red colour line. Its colours and shape showed that it was afraid to be touched.
The caterpillar said, “I have no intention to hurt you. But please don’t touch me or else you will get hurt. I feel not comfortable to be touched. The Mother Nature gave me the thorns to protect me and I have no choice that I have to use it.”
I was holding the willow leaves while taking the photos. Again, this caterpillar had the mechanism to prevent itself from falling down. It was different from the hairy caterpillar. It only use its mouth and hold very tightly to prevent itself from falling onto the ground.

It took me few minutes to use the manual focus and to take this picture. At this point I noticed that it start to panic. It shook its body and created quite a strong force and made the leave shook as well. I know that it noticed me and it was trying to tell me that my camera was ugly and looked scary. It shook more and more frequently and I had to finish taking its pictures as fast as I could. I left it alone and hoped that it won’t feel scary anymore.
I am not sure why it shook it body actually. May be it feel cold, may be it want to remove the water on its body or may be I had made it feel scary?
[Again, this is a short post while I am taking a break from my busy job. I will continue the stories of “Photography and me” soon.]

Hi, thanks for responding to my mail ^^
Yeah, I should get that fixed soon, about the comment thing. Anyway what you have here is a caterpillar that is about to turn into a cocoon I think.
A few corrections >.
If you look at it closely you can see in your first picture (under the longest silver line in on the caterpillar/cocoon’s body) where the butterfly’s wings will grow in. ^^
The head, by the way is at the opposite end of the “mouth” that you originally noticed.
hi!
Thought you might be interested in this.
Your spiky caterpillars and this cocoon are the same species. This is how the chrysalis looks like. Here’s a pic of the butterfly

Hahahah sorry to spam your wall,
but yeah this is actually the cocoon of those scary spiky looking caterpillars you had in one of your earlier posts? Yeap yeap.
The butterfly is called a Common Leopard Butterfly or “Phalanta Phalantha” if you wanna get all scientificky XD
hahaha great photography btw! LOVED IT, especially the one in your other post where the cocoon had split.
Cyren, thank you very much for providing so much information. I have learned a lot from you. So you mean that the “mouth” that I mentioned is actually the cocoon tail where it sticked onto / kissed the leaf?
Do you know why was the cocoon shaking?
