This river mouth looks very far, it is the exit of Sungai Sibu (Sibu River) to the South China Sea.  From Telaga Air, the river look like a lake, with a small mouth, but it is not a lake.  It is a big turning on a long river.

I like to look at maps ( especially google map), and study on the pictures of different places.  Sometimes I found the hidden places just outside the border of the pictures.

I have never been to these places, Sibu Laut, Santin, Satang Island, and other islands.  But I know where they are.  I wish to have a GPS device.  And I also wish that SiewPeng and I have another long holiday so that we can travel to the islands.

I zoomed on the river mouth and found that there are actually beaches.  Shooting with a 560mm lense, the beach at the Sibu Laut can clearly be seen.    It was a hazy day, I cannot see it with my eyes, but my camera can.

This is what I can see with my eyes, I did not even know that there are beaches after I load the photos into my computer.

I am confused, where is Sibu Laut?  I found that there are 2 Sibu Lauts in google map, one of them is the village, the other is the name of that place.

Do you know how far is Satang Island from Telaga Air?  I estimate it should take about 10km.

The river mouth was behind us.  Next time, we should come here in the morning, and take a boat to see the beaches and islands.
