Not long ago, I just fixed the fluorescent light in my room which was always blinking.  I climbed up the aluminum ladder, checked the light on the ceilling, and found that its starter holder has changed its shaped due to overheat.

The light was always blinking randomly, and finally it was not working at all.  I never thought that it could cause heat at the starter part.  So, take note and remember, if your flourescent light is blinking, quickly fix it by either changing the tube or the starter.

The starter was also melted and stuck together with its holder, I cannot take it out, and I have to replace both of them.

I suspected that the flourescent tube also has a problem, but I tried on the starter part first.  In worst case, I prepared to replace the whole thing.

Luckily, I fixed my light successfully by changing the starter and its holder only without changing other parts.
