I like to see a tortoise relax by stretching its hands and legs and letting only its shell stomach touching the ground. This is not the first time I saw a tortoise or turtle doing this. I saw this action had done by a small tortoise at Sam Poh Tong, Ipoh too. Both of them are similar, they are small. Can I guess that only small tortoises do this?

A proud tortoise.

The neck of this tortoise is in yellowish green, may be the moss has grown on it.

“Someone’s coming from there! Look!”, said one of the tortoises.

There is a big stone tortoise. Do you think that the tortoises know about the stone tortoise is similar to them? If they do, they may worship the big stone tortoise as their god.

Lined up.

We saw a turtle with red paint on its shell. It must be done by human when releasing it. It is not the natural colour of tortoises or turtles.

Random tortoises.
More than one reader commented on one of my previous post said that my pet turtle may be tortoises. They are actually different. *** Actually most of the “tortoises” in this post here are turtles (if I am not mistaken). I just call them tortoises to represent entire population of the tortoises and turtles there. :)

Happy swimming tortoises.

SiewPeng stood beside the tortoise pond.

Next to the tortoise pond, it is the garden of Thean Hou Temple that we have talked about previously.
Finally we can end the Thean Hou Temple post after we have written 8 posts about it. The following are the summary of Thean Hou Temple posts:-
