My GPS guided me to exactly where I should park our rented car. We just walked along a road called Parry St. and we reached the famous Fremantle Markets.

Colin and SiewPeng at one of the entrances.

When I first stepped inside the hall, I thought I have gone back to Malaysia. There was a big crowd, many stalls were selling souvenirs such as key chains, shirts, toys etc..
We continued to walk to another section selling food and we found a delicious thing to eat in the hot Saturday afternoon.

This was the delicious sweet chocolate coated fresh strawberry. It was juicy. The little sourness of the strawberry and the sweet chocolate melted in our mouths. 4 strawberries on a stick cost us AUD2.50.

We walked further and found many stalls selling fruits and vegetables.

I bought the “Very Sweet White Gold Neltarin”.

I was holding a large egg of Kalbarri Ostrich. Each egg cost AUD7.99.
I asked the permission of the stall owner if I could take photos, a young Asian gentleman said no problem.

We spent about an hour inside the hall, and we walked all the way back to the entrance that we came in. Later, we discovered that there are many doors which we could use, but we have taken longer routes and turned a big round to get to it.

This is one of the doors which was closed.

It shows that the Fremantle market was established in 1897. It is 114 years old now.

Before proceeded to our next destination, I continued to shoot photos.

It seems that part of the wall has collapsed.

This is the junction at Parry St.. Again, I heard the familiar traffic light sound for pedestrian’s turn.
Coming up next, I will show you more about Fremantle, WA.
