Recently, I have created a mobile application to allow readers to read this blog easily.  It runs on Symbian OS, and I have submitted it to Ovi store.

It has been approved.

It is now available for download (free) at http://store.ovi.com/content/76510.

It works like the feed reader, where you can read the most recent posts in ColinJong.com.  For each post, there is a main menu with title, picture thumbnail, or short description.  You can click on them to read the details.

I have made the theme in mobile application looks similar to this website.  I used brown / orange  color and I have added the same header picture too.

November 2010 has just gone and become history in our life.  It was one of the busiest month in a year, however I managed to reach my target to produce a blog post entry every day.

Sometimes, I wrote more on the weekend and make them into scheduled posts.

I also have some tips to process, upload and insert photo quickly:-

1.  All of my photos are resized and added with watermark using batch processing.

2.  The files are named properly (same prefix) and with a unique number in sequence.

3.  I only insert one photo and edit the HTML codes for the rest of the photos by copy and paste the <a> tag, and then change the files’ names which have different numbers.

This is how I can upload many photos without taking me too much time.

The sun was above our heads, it was a good time to take photo of our shadow in the river.

It only happened on the right time, right place, and with right people.  There is a proverb in Chinese says that, “TianShi, DiLi, RenHe” which has the same meaning.

Waterfront Kuching is quite long (more than 1km), if we did not stop there, we would have missed these photos.  And I also understand that there would be endless of angles there where I can take more photos.

You may find nothing special on these photos, but there is a something special on the lamppost.

It is again the first time, we see windmill in Kuching although they are the mini version.

The lampposts are powered by mini windmills and solar power.  Thumbs up to the authority for putting effort in using green power which is good for our environment.

I will show you the photo of the windmills in Waterfront Kuching in the future.

Last night, the golden moon of the 18th day (in Chinese Calendar)  attracted me to take her photo again.  Since she was near to the horizon, I decided to shoot the photo from the balcony.

There is a transmission tower used for telecommunication purposes right between my camera lens and the moon.  After zooming and cropping, I produced the photo above.  If you look carefully, you can find that there are 4 big volcanoes on the top right edge of the moon.

The moon keeps on moving all the time.

I believe there are only certain times in the year where the moon can reach this tower.   The direction was not exactly East but slightly North.  It was between E and NE or ENE (east-northeast).

I wish I can take the photo of the moon with an airplane in between.  It only happens in seconds.  Many people use photo editing method to create it, but I wish I can create a real one.

While I was preparing the photo for the tall grass (coming post), I found that there was an unwanted thing (black plastic bag) in the middle of the beautiful green grass with white fur.

I used a tool called healing brush in the photo editing software to remove it.  Look at the animated picture above.

Recently I helped a friend to make name tags for her staffs.  The name tags has the staffs’ photos on them.  She asked me to remove pimples on one of the photos.  I was using her computer, and I had done it in seconds.  She was surprised and said, “Wow!”

Healing brush tool is a useful tool to make a picture look nicer although the photo might not be real after it is being altered by this tool.  But think carefully, all the photos that we have seen are not the real things as well, because they are just a reflection of a certain moment, viewing from a certain angle only.
